Satellite Mapping
Use satellite & aerial imagery to track lagoon health.
The Problem
Water clarity, chlorophyll, seagrass extent, and muck cover change across the whole lagoon — but field stations only sample points. Without a synoptic view, managers can't see the full picture or track trends season to season.
Our Approach
Build a satellite and drone imagery pipeline that classifies water quality, habitat extent, and turbidity events across the lagoon, updated on every clear-sky pass. Make derived layers public for researchers and residents.
